Senior GCP Data Engineer

 REQUIREMENTS:
At least 7 years of experience in IT, including 5 years as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, particularly BigQuery.
Experience with managing large datasets, query optimization, and data modeling in BigQuery.
Knowledge of Oracle (complex queries, data migration, performance tuning), Databricks (data analysis and ML workflows), and Power BI (designing dashboards and business reports).
Nice to have: experience in building and deploying ML models in Vertex AI, as well as familiarity with Data Lakes and unstructured data processing.
English proficiency at B2/C1 level, allowing for smooth communication in an international environment.
Availability ASAP, either full-time or part-time with the option to transition to full-time within 1–3 months.
 SCOPE OF DUTIES:
Long-term cooperation with a leading international consulting company providing IT services for large and medium-sized enterprises across various sectors such as automotive, finance, banking, and manufacturing.
Participation in a data environment consolidation and development project for a global telecom client, including taking over services from other vendors. Initially, the focus will be on maintaining existing services, later transitioning toward development in a DevOps delivery model.
Building data infrastructure – designing, creating, and maintaining scalable data pipelines in GCP (BigQuery, Databricks, Vertex AI).
Data modeling and analysis – optimizing data models and queries in BigQuery.
ML integration – implementing and automating model training and deployment processes in Vertex AI.
Working in an international environment.

Work hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with some flexibility possible.
